We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel - Property, to join a dynamic team within a growing and innovative property organisation based in the UK. As the business continues to expand, you will play a key role in supporting residential development projects, alongside providing general legal advice across corporate and commercial matters. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of legal areas while ensuring the company's confidentiality and success.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal expert guidance on a wide range of residential development projects, as well as general corporate and commercial issues. You will work closely with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams, helping to navigate complex legal challenges and mitigate risks. Your expertise will be critical in negotiating and drafting key contracts, advising on land acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with development regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on residential development matters, including land acquisitions, planning agreements, construction contracts, and related transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to support business operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with general corporate governance and commercial legal matters.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with residential projects and commercial transactions.
- Ensure that all legal processes and documents align with the company's objectives while safeguarding its confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- A qualified solicitor with experience in residential development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach.
