Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading organisation in their field, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team in East Sussex. With the option of only being in the office 1 day per week, this international business offers excellent work life balance and career prospects.

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a vital role in the production and review of month-end financial statements and consolidation adjustments, ensuring compliance with IFRS reporting standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a renowned organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Production and review of all month-end consolidation adjustments for our client
• Calculation of share-based payments charges and liabilities
• Production and review of month-end journals for our client and all holding entities within the group, including accruals and provisions
• Collaborating closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to finalise month-end results
• Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations, providing insightful commentary on movements and taking ownership of specific balance sheet areas
• Leading monthly control meetings related to balance sheet areas
• Providing data to external auditors

Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus

Hybrid working - 1 day per week in the office.

Experience / Skills

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
• Ability to analyse, summarise, and provide insightful commentary on data
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
• Excellent reconciliation skills and attention to detail
