Are you an experienced interim lawyer with expertise in asset servicing? A leading financial institution is seeking an interim Legal Counsel who is immediately available.
About the Project:
This 12-month role involves a client transition project. Contracts will primarily be governed by European law, with a focus on asset servicing agreements such as Master Custody Agreements, Depositary Agreements, and related Ancillary Contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and finalise contracts using approved templates.
- Lead negotiations with clients and their external counsel.
- Prepare termination letters, execution copies, and summaries of negotiated terms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Essential:
- 3+ years PQE (or equivalent).
- Strong experience with asset servicing contracts (e.g., custody, securities finance, collateral management).
- Proven contract negotiation skills, including external client-facing experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
- Preferred:
- Experience with contracts governed by Luxembourg.
- Familiarity with civil law jurisdictions and working across Continental Europe.
