Calling all experienced Risk Consultants. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation in the banking industry. Our client is seeking a skilled Risk Consultant to join their team on a temporary basis. If you are passionate about identifying and mitigating risks, fostering open dialogue, and making a positive impact on a business, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Risk Consultant with our client, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and facilitating monthly forums that encourage open and candid discussions of inherent risks, risk profile changes, and mitigating controls. You will have the opportunity to identify areas of highest risk, highlight key controls and control gaps to senior stakeholders, and strengthen the foundation to mitigate the inherent risks of the business. In addition, you will take the lead in reviewing, advising, challenging, and documenting changes to the Capital Markets product offerings.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor on risk-related issues, fostering an environment for open dialogue with business partners. As a liaison between the business unit and the second line risk and compliance functions, you will ensure effective communication and collaboration, fostering a culture of risk awareness and proactive mitigation.
To succeed in this role, our client is seeking candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organisation, attention to detail, and time management abilities. You should be able to handle multiple competing priorities with a collaborative approach to work, while also possessing the ability to make independent decisions. An inquisitive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving is crucial, as well as leadership and organisational skills to effectively direct the activities of multiple business units.
Our client is looking for candidates with several years of financial services experience, particularly in operational risk, controls, or audit. An excellent working knowledge of audit, risk, and operational management concepts is essential, along with the ability to understand and interpret the impact of decisions and identify potential problem areas. Confidence and expertise in advising management and the business is highly valued, as well as knowledge of Capital Markets or a relevant business within the industry.
If you are ready to take on a new challenge and have a passion for risk management, apply now. Join our client's team and make a significant impact on their organisation. A college or university degree is preferred, but not required.
LHH is an employment consultancy that believes in talent, not labels.
