Location: Hybrid – Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 Schedule: Remote on Mondays and Fridays; in-office Tuesday through Thursday (9 AM–3 PM core hours; flexible start/end times).
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee industrial construction projects, primarily in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and leadership abilities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution:
Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.
Monitor progress to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets, resolving issues proactively.
Team Leadership:
Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and teams to ensure safe and efficient task completion.
Facilitate project meetings to align all stakeholders on goals and progress.
Financial Oversight:
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Oversee procurement processes for materials and equipment.
Risk Mitigation:
Identify potential risks and create strategies to minimize impacts on project success.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct site inspections to confirm compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the primary contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Provide regular updates on project status to all relevant parties.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Advanced Excel user with knowledge of Power BI for project analysis.
Proven experience in construction project management with a focus on oil and gas industries.
Strong track record of managing estimates, budgets, and forecasting project financials.
Experience Requirements:
Familiarity with the pull-planning scheduling process.
Strong contract negotiation skills.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant project management experience.
Preferred Skills:
PMP certification is not required.
