HRIS Analyst (contract)

LHH is teaming up with an established Food and Beverage company in search of a temporary HRIS Specialist. This role offers a blend of technical, strategic, and collaborative work, making it a highly rewarding opportunity for someone with the right skills and experience.


The ideal candidate for this HRIS Specialist is someone with extensive experience in HRIS systems, particularly Paylocity and Harri. They should have a strong understanding of HR compliance requirements and a proven ability to analyze, optimize, and implement system improvements. Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders and providing training. Additionally, the candidate should be detail-oriented and capable of conducting thorough audits and data cleanups to ensure accuracy and reliability.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing Harri setup.


  • Review break, meal/break time violations, overtime, double time, etc.


  • Automate and create reporting to share with operations weekly.


  • Work on blended rates calculation (may need to be done with Paylocity).


  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing Paylocity setup.


  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current configurations, including user roles, workflows, and data fields.


  • Audit the current PTO and sick leave accrual setup for accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.


  • Adjust settings as needed to align with organizational policies and ensure accurate tracking.


  • Provide recommendations for improvements or automation where possible.


  • Review existing reports to assess accuracy, relevance, and usability.


  • Design and build new reports as needed, ensuring they meet requirements for compliance, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making.


  • Evaluate current workflows and processes within Paylocity, such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee self-service functions.


  • Recommend and implement optimizations to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.


  • Ensure workflows are compliant with relevant regulations.


  • Review employee data for inconsistencies, errors, or outdated information.


  • Conduct a data cleanup and standardization exercise to ensure accuracy and reliability.


  • Document all changes made to the Paylocity system, including configurations, workflows, and new reports.


  • Provide training materials for HR and management teams to ensure they can utilize the system effectively.


  • Verify that all aspects of the Paylocity & Harri setup comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, particularly in areas such as wage and hour compliance, PTO, and data privacy.



Skills/Experience:



  • Extensive experience with HRIS systems: Specifically, experience with Paylocity and Harri is essential.


  • Strong understanding of HR compliance requirements: Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, particularly in areas such as wage and hour compliance, PTO, and data privacy.


  • Proven ability to analyze, optimize, and implement system improvements: Demonstrated experience in conducting audits, identifying inefficiencies, and making necessary adjustments to HRIS systems.


  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to engage with stakeholders, provide training, and document changes effectively.


  • Attention to detail: Capable of conducting thorough data cleanups and ensuring data integrity and reliability.


  • Project management skills: Ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and collaborate with various departments to achieve project goals.



Job Type: Contract (approximate dates 1/13/2025 – 4/28/2025)


Worksite Type: 100% Remote (PST hours, candidates based in the San Francisco/Bay Area, CA preferred)


Pay Rate: $40-$55/hour, depending on experience


Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
